As you may remember, last week I posted about my mystery shawl, and I gave you a progress photo. Well, that mystery continues to pique my interest! In the second clue, the shawl took on a whole new shape. We ended up seaming a few edges together and then adding a new “growth” off the side, so now it looks like this:

I’m very curious as to how this is going to play out, but there are still three more clues!

Happy Wednesday, Makers! We’re so happy to have you here with us on the day we celebrate the Maker in all of us.

This week, I’ve got a finished quilt to share! In many ways this was NOT my best quilting project – there are several places where the triangle points don’t perfectly match up, and the backing got a bit wrinkled in the process of quilting. But I think my grandmother will love it, flaws and all, and in the end I guess that’s what matters most. I think most of you Makers can probably relate to my need to let go of perfection and just MAKE something already!

The topĀ of the quilt was made largely from my stash, and it’s scrappy and bright and super fun. The back was a bed sheet with a white background and a fun, colorful floral print:
