Well, the mystery shawl I’ve been talking about has come to an end! It’s all finished, and it’s definitely one of the strangest things I’ve ever made! I really enjoyed the whole process, though, because the construction was so much fun and the mystery kept my interest going! Here’s the finished shawl:

This week, I’m having a blast with my current knitting project – the Frisson Shawl by Brittany Wilson. Here’s my progress so far:

I love this shawl because it’s a perfect example of “potato chip knitting.” You know that old commercial for potato chips – betcha can’t eat just one? Well, that’s how I feel about making progress on this shawl. I’m excited to see each new point in the crescent shape emerge, and it’s fun to keep going in each knitting session until I get to the end of a point. Of course, as the shawl grows and the rows get longer, I may change my tune. But for now I am really enjoying the knit!

At my recent knitting retreat, I saw so many women wearing gorgeous shawls that it really inspired me to knit a few more of my own. So stay tuned, because I have a feeling this won’t be the last of my shawls-in-progress that shows up here at #MakersWednesday.

What about you – what are you making this week? Share it with us on Instagram or Twitter with the tag #MakersWednesday!
