Happy #MakersWednesday, everyone! Lately I’ve been working through a variety of creative projects which I hope will help me move beyond the current stresses of day-to-day living. How about you?
This week I’m working on something for a swap recipient, and I have a feeling I’m going to really love it when I’m done, so I’m making two – one for her and one for me to keep! It’s a mini quilt inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. Here it is so far (well, here they are, side by side):
Right now I’m working on embroidering the phrase “Simply meant to be” on the top right area, and after that I’ll sandwich it and do some hand quilting with glow-in-the-dark thread. I’ve got some cute Halloween prints to use for the backing, and some fun black-and-whites to use for the binding. I’m really excited to have this finished project in time for Halloween!
