Maybe it’s because I only own one full apron, but lately it’s been on my mind that I’d like to make myself a few aprons to hang in my kitchen.
Not only does an apron save me from getting food stains (I’m looking at you, olive oil!) on my clothing, but they’re useful for other things, too – art projects, craft shows, yard sales and more!
So today I’m rounding up a collection of DIY apron tutorials in case you’re in the mood to whip up something fun, too.
- This is a quick & easy solution to the no-apron problem: Raid your husband’s closet and turn a men’s dress shirt into an apron!
- Personally I don’t wear half aprons because I need full coverage (I’m a messy cook!), but I really LOVE this one from Delia Creates!
- I don’t have a lot of time to sew, so I love short-cuts, like this idea to turn two Dollar Store tea towels into an apron!
- I’m seriously in love with this handmade Harry Potter apron. With this thing I think I could make some serious kitchen magic!
- I love the feminine lines and patchwork style of this patternless kitschy apron. Plus, working without a pattern makes things go that much faster for me, which is a definite bonus!
- A self-cleaning apron – well, almost – is a fantastic idea! Love this wipe-able apron tutorial!
