Happy #MakersWednesday, everyone! It’s my favorite day of the week AND my favorite day of the year – Merry Christmas Eve to you as well!

This week I’ve got some Christmas gifts to share with you! I made these gifts for friends & family members this year – they were super fun to make, so I hope the recipients like them!

I got the idea from seeing all these adorable cross stitch pendants on Etsy (so if you don’t want to make your own, there are plenty of options available to you there!). I thought they would be fairly quick but also adorable to give as gifts, and I think I was right!

I got the pendant frame pieces from Kailea on Etsy – I bought a pack of 10 round pendant frames, and they quickly arrived at my house. Then I just bought some cross stitch fabric and embroidery floss and I was good to go!

Kailea also has a tutorial on her blog for how to use the pendant frames, which was SUPER useful to me. Her tutorial is for embroidery but I followed all her steps to make the pendants using cross stitching and it worked out great!

For the patterns, I searched Pinterest for the specific type of thing I wanted to make – like, “coffee cross stitch” – and then I browsed through the patterns that showed up until I found one that would fit on these pendants. Then I just stitched away! All in all it took me just a few days to make the pendants, and I’m really pleased with the results.

Now it’s time to make one for ME! 🙂

So, Makers, what have you been making this holiday season? Share your last-minute gift-making with us on social media and tag it #MakersWednesday!
