DIY Round-up: Autumn Home Decor

Posted By on Sep 29, 2014 in Handmade Love and Inspiration

September has finally arrived! We’ve made it beyond the Autumnal Equinox and it’s time for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere to experience some cooler days and longer nights. It’s time to celebrate! (This Yankee girl living in Tennessee can’t be the only one rejoicing, right?)

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite tutorials on the Web for a DIY deck-the-halls bonanza.

DIY Fall Decor Roundup

First up, this autumn leaf bowl craft from Hello Lucky is deceptively simple – just a few supplies and you’re good to go! It would be a great craft to make with kids, if you’ve got ’em. Use these bowls to display holiday treats, pine cones, acorns, or floating candles!

If you’ve been bitten by the essential oils bug, then you might just find yourself owning a variety of brown bottles that don’t have another purpose once the oils are gone. If so, the gals from At the Picket Fence have got you covered with a fast and easy decor idea:

I’m not sure if I’ve publicly made this confession here at the Patterned blog yet or not, but I have a bit of an addiction to garland. This one from 6th Street Design School is so simple, and yet the results are completely stunning!
