I don’t know about you but I tend to be a social media binger — I read blogs, Facebook, and Twitter and look at Pinterest once every week or two and then I want to share ALL THE THINGS! It is, of course, a horrible experience for my friends and followers to be inundated with posts all at once. As a business, you are also not likely to catch very many people by posting a bunch of things all at once. If they happen to be interested in a certain article, it will likely get buried under a bunch of articles they may be interested in. Enter Buffer.Read More
Join us each week with #ThinkCreateReflect as we allow ourselves to think about what we’ve done, create something new, reflect on a topic and dream toward the future.
This week, open up your journal or your blog editor and answer the following …
Will Rogers once said, “Everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects.” If you could learn anything at all (and thus eliminate, or at least reduce, your ignorance on that subject), what would it be, and why? What has stopped you from learning it so far?
Take a moment to Think, Create and Reflect on this week’s post and then leave a comment here with a link to your response, or share it via Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #ThinkCreateReflect. We’d love to hear from you!Read More
Today we’ve got a new feature here at PatternedApp HQ, and we’re excited to share it with you! Every Friday, we’ll be posting a prompt to help you think outside the box, flex your creative muscles and work on your business goals. Sometimes the prompt will be a creative journal entry, sometimes it will be a call to create something new with your artistic and crafty talents, and sometimes it will be an opportunity to think about an area of your business life and reflect on that.
We’ll be calling these posts Think, Create, Reflect – and we’ll be tagging our own responses to the prompts using #ThinkCreateReflect.
In order to get ready for the first prompt on Friday, here are some things you can do:
– Decide how you’re going to answer the creative prompts. You might want to buy a notebook or journal just for the occasion, so you can keep your answers largely to yourself and then look back through them whenever you want to feel inspired. You might prefer to share your answers with the public, so you could post them on your blog, web site, or even Facebook page. If the prompt is creative in nature, take a photo of your creation so you can share it with the social media outlet of your choice.
– When you answer the prompt, if you do share it publicly, use the hashtag #ThinkCreateReflect and tweet or post your links on Instagram so we can all share them together! You’re also welcome to leave a comment on the blog here and direct us to the site where you’ve posted your response. We’d love to read them!
We hope you’ll join us for a little Friday coffee or tea break with a moment to Think, Create, and Reflect!Read More
This post has been brought to you by #ProjectWednesdays! Join us each week as we share our creative endeavors. We hope you’ll share your creative projects with us, too – just post them to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #projectwednesdays.
This is my first attempt at painting an actual scene in at least 15 years. I never thought I was very good at it and generally would just play with colors and textures.
I tried to paint a dirt road … it’s not the best painting but I am pretty surprised and proud of myself.
What can you do to break out of self-imposed creative limitations?
It’s time to introduce a new feature here at Patterned HQ – #ProjectWednesdays!
Here at Patterned, we love to pursue our creative hobbies. Sometimes we’ve got so much going on in that department that it’s hard to keep it all straight, but we still want to share our creations with the world, even if it’s only in snapshot form. That’s where Project Wednesdays comes in! Each Wednesday we’ll post a snapshot of something we’re working on – it can be anything creative, from painting to sewing to crafting – and we’ll add it to Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #ProjectWednesdays.
We invite you to join us on this sharing adventure – take a minute out of every Wednesday to snap a picture of your current creative works in progress, and share that creativity with the world. Tag it with #ProjectWednesdays so we can find it, or come back here to the blog and leave us a comment with a link to your pictures. You never know who you might inspire!Read More
