Do you need help running your business? There’s an app for that.

How much do you use apps in your small biz? There are apps for every aspect of your business, from creative inspiration to money management and photo tools. Turn your phone or tablet into your personal assistant with these awesome apps for the creative business owner.

Paypal (iTunes and Android) – Use the official PayPal app to keep track of your business expenses and even accept payments through your phone. You’ll never have to wonder how much you’ve got left in your account or turn down a sale when you’re away from your office.

Etsy (iTunes and Android): If you’ve got an Etsy shop, get the Etsy app. Keep your shop listings up to date, renew items and contact customers all through your own phone or tablet. Of course, if you happen to use it for shopping, too, that’s your business.

Instagram (iTunes and Android): Not just for taking pictures of cats, Instagram lets you take photos of your work in progress, share your behind-the-scenes with clients and customers, and offer previews of upcoming shop updates. Ask your customers to share their own images of your work with a common hashtag as a free marketing tool.

Tip: While you’re at it, use A Beautiful Mess (iTunes) to make your Instagram photos stand out in the crowd with new frames and the ability to write notes on them, too.

ArtKive (iTunes, Android): This app is billed as a way for parents to take, store, and print photos of their children’s art work to use as holiday gifts. Turn that app around and use it to take photos of your art or the products you make, and when you get enough pictures you can turn them into a photo book to use as a lookbook or a portfolio of your work.

Dropbox (iTunes, Android) – Dropbox is great for sharing files on your computer, but you can also use it to keep your files with you wherever you go. You’ll always be able to access that contract, font file or logo whenever you need it. Dropbox will share your files and make them available on any device where the app is installed.

Evernote (iTunes, Android) – Evernote lets you take notes wherever and whenever inspiration strikes. The next time you get a great idea, just pull out this app and write it down so you can access it later from any device. You can also use Evernote to share notebooks, which allows you to keep in touch with collaborators and never get behind on your projects again.

WordPress (iTunes, Android) – Use the WordPress app to manage your blog on the go. This app gives you the ability to view, post, edit, and analyze all at your fingertips.

Photoshop Express (iTunes, Android) – Use this app to add professional touches to the photos you take when you’re out and about.
